‘COVID warrior for today’: ASI wins praise from Compol

Mangaluru: City Police Commissioner Dr Harsha on Tuesday praised ASI Santhosh Kumar Padil for his exemplary sense of duty and also termed him as the Covid Warrior for today.
The ASI helped a 10-month-old infant get due treatment in the city amid the lockdown and later reunited the infant with his parents at Kerala border.
Taking to Twitter, the top cop said, “Exemplary sense of duty by Santhosh Padil ASI helping children and sick reach their homes at his personal risk. He is the COVID warrier for today. He got an ailing child of 10 months old treated and made the kid reunite safely with parents on kerala border.. INSPIRING..”

The commissioner in the past too has taken to social media to praise the good work done by the police personnel. In November last year he lauded a traffic constable named Puttarama for going out beyond call of his duty to fix a pothole as it posed a risk to motorists.
