Covid-19 pandemic has spread globally with over a million deaths recorded so far. Initially, it was found that this virus spreads through direct physical contact. But later on various other transmission methods were found. But, did you know that farts may be able to spread Covid-19?
Sounds weird, but it is true, an Australian doctor has alarmed citizens claiming that farts can also spread Covid-19. During an Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s podcast, Dr. Norman Swan warned that farts set adrift may be able to spread the virus.
He said farting without wearing clothes could lead to the spread of Covid-19 and suggested that people must not fart close to each other.
Swan said, ”Luckily, we wear a mask, which covers our farts all the time, I think that what we should do in terms of social distancing and being safe is that you don’t fart close to other people, and that you don’t fart with your bottom bare.”
Also, Dr. Andy Tagg, an Australian ER physician, weighed in on the subject of farts spreading the Covid-19. He said that there is not much research done in the area, but it is true that Covid-19 virus could potentially be spread through farts.
