IIT- Kanpur develops night vision drone camera to monitor hotspots in UP

IIT-Kanpur-manufactured night vision drone camera was used in Kanpur Nagar to monitor a locked down Covid-19 hotspot area. The drones are used to ensure that lockdown norms are followed.
The night vision drones help the police to keep a watch on various hotspots around the city.Kanpur District Magistrate, Dr Brahma Deo Ram Tiwari, shared a video on Twitter showing the drone monitoring a locked down spot in Beckanganj police station area.

He also said that picture quality of the glider drone camera is good and that it will help them monitor the area. The move was praised by MoS for Communications Sanjay Dhotre.
Also, Kolkata police and Gujarat police have started using drones to monitor the areas and ensure that lockdown norms are being followed.
