Delhi govt forms audit committee to monitor Covid-19 deaths

Delhi government has constituted a three-member committee to audit the deaths caused by Covid-19 on a daily basis. The committee is headed by former director general of health services Dr Ashok Kumar.
According to an order issued by the health department, “All government and private hospitals are directed to report all such deaths to the committee along with the copy of case sheet for death audit,” the order stated.
Also, the heads of all the state-run hospitals have been directed by the government to create a media cell and to monitor social media and news media to put forward a correct position before the public. The Delhi government has further decided to include services of AYUSH doctors to prevent the pandemic.
