Bengaluru: The Central government has decided to arrange flights to bring back Indians stranded in UAE.

This comes after Deputy Chief Minister Dr Ashwathnarayan had urged the Centre in a letter to get them back.

Centre has stated that flights will be arranged on May 10 or 11.

In the letter to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Dr Ashwathnarayan said, “It is a matter of immense pleasure that the Ministry had arranged flights to bring back Indians stranded in different parts of the world. However, no aircrafts have been arranged to bring back distressed Kannadigas in Arab countries. Please provide necessary assistance in this regard.”
