Bengaluru: A 10-year-old girl was admitted to the hospital after drinking sanitizer instead of water.
As per sources, the girl’s parents had filled sanitizer in a water bottle but the girl drank it without knowing that it is a sanitizer.
The parents immediately admitted the girl to MS Ramaiah hospital in the city and she is currently undergoing treatment there.
Meanwhile, the doctors have suggested the parents keep soaps and sanitizers away from children and not to fill sanitizers inside any water bottle.
Following the spread of COVID-19 lockdown, wearing face masks and cleaning hands with sanitizers or by washing with soaps have been most effective to keep the virus at bay.
