Mangaluru: Someshwar’s Pilar area declared containment zone

Mangaluru: The area of Pilar in the city has been declared as a containment zone by the district administration after a resident from here tested COVID-19 positive.
The containment zone of three kilometres has a little more than 400 residents in it. Further, the containment zone is encircled with a buffer zone of five kilometres. The buffer zone extends from Yekkur bus stop to Uchila bridge and from Konaje bus stop to the coast.
The buffer zone has a little more than 1 lakhs residents in it.
