Gundlupet: Forest officials capture havoc-wreaking tiger

Chamarajanagar: Forest officials on Tuesday trapped a tiger that had been wreaking havoc in villages bordering the Kundakere Forest range in Gundlupet Taluk.
The tiger, a six-year-old male was trapped on a farm belonging to Mahadevappa near Kundakere village. It had preyed on several cattle and other livestock in the last 20-30 days.
The locals have heaved a sigh of relief with its capture.
The forest department had used tamed elephants – Jayaprakash, Partha Sarathi, Ganesha and Rohit in the combing operation.
