Former Maha CM Ashok Chavan tests positive for COVID-19

Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Cheif Minister and current PWD minister Ashok Chavan tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, May 24.
As per sources, he was asymptomatic and was unclear on how he contacted COVID-19. At present, he is in the hometown of Nanded and will be shifted a hospital in Mumbai, informed sources.
Chavan is the second minister in Udhav Thackeray lead the government to test positive for COVID-19. In late April, Housing Minister Jitendra Awhad had contacted COVID-19 and recovered.
Maharashtra has been worst affected by COVID-19 in India as it reported 50,231 cases and 1,635 deaths as of Monday morning.
