MCC plans crackdown on illegal street vendors

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru City Corporation is planning to crack down on unauthorized street vending in the city based on the complaints filed by the residents.
Mangaluru City Corporation Mayor Divakar has appealed the street vendors who illegally sell fruits, flowers footpath to close their stall before June 5.
Divakar informed they have received many complaints that few are illegally selling goods on the footpath, therefore on June 5 the city corporation will start a tiger operation and if they find any vendors selling fruits, vegetables, flowers ect.. illegally, strict action will be taken against them.
All the illegal street vendors within the city corporation limits should close their shops before June 5 if not strict action will be taken and all their items will be also be seized, warned the Mayor.
