Chandana suicide case: Boyfriend arrested

Bengaluru: The city police arrested a man in connection with the suicide case of TV presenter and small-screen Kannada actress Chandana, who killed herself on June 1 on live video.

The arrested is identified as Dinesh, Chandana’s boyfriend.

Chandana and Dinesh were in love for the past five years. They had even planned to get married. However, Dinesh later refused to marry Chandana. Upset over this Chandana committed suicide.

In a live video that was taken moments before she ended her life, Chandana had accused Dinesh of deceiving and insulting her.

The deceased actress is reported to have sent her self-shot video to Dinesh’s parents, her parents, and friends moments before her death. After the video reached them, Chandana’s parents informed neighbors to go check on her. However, she was already dead.
