Kalburgi: Fire erupted in the air conditioner while the Education Minister S Suresh Kumar was presiding a meeting here on June 7.
Kumar was holding the meeting with the officials of Kalburgi, Yadgiri and Bidar districts in the district panchayat hall here discussing the preparations for the upcoming SSLC examinations.
At the beginning of the meeting, sparks appeared in the AC due to a short circuit. The ministers and officials were horrified for a moment. Immediately an officer in the meeting got up and turned off the power connection to the AC.
As there was no further incident due to the fire, the Minister resumed the meeting after 10 minutes.
