Malpe: Man commits suicide in boat due to economic problems

Udupi: A young man distraught with financial hardships committed suicide by hanging himself in an anchored boat in Malpe port on Wednesday, June 10.
The deceased has been identified as Bhagyaraj, a resident of Paonji Hill near Tottam.
He is alleged to have taken loans for his fishing boat and a house and due to loss in his business committed suicide by hanging himself in a boat anchored in the harbour.
Malpe police station personnel visited and inspected the site.
