Karnataka reports 204 new COVID-19 cases; Udupi accounts for 22, DK 2 cases

Bengaluru: Karnataka reported 204 new cases of coronavirus and three fatalities on Thursday, June 11 the health department said in its bulletin.
As on date, 6245 confirmed cases of coronavirus has been reported in Karnataka of which 2976 persons have recovered and 72 persons have died.
Among the 204 new cases reported today, 157 are interstate travellers.
Districtwise Yadagiri reported 66 cases, Udupi-22; Bengaluru-17; Kalaburagi-16; Raichur-15; Bidar-14; Shivamogga-10; Davangere-9; Kolar -6; Mysuru & Ramanagar reported 5 cases each; Vijayapura-4; Bagalkote & Uttara Kannada reported 3 cases each. Two cases each were reported from Dakshina Kannada, Hassan and Dharwad while one case each has been reported from Koppal, Chikkalamagalur and Bengaluru Rural.
After zero cases for last two days, Udupi reported 22 new cases, including two children aged three and five on Thursday. While twenty of these are Maharashtra returnees, contact tracing has been initiated for two cases
With 969 cases, Udupi tops the districts in number of confirmed coronavirus cases. Of this, 349 persons have been discharged and one death has occurred in the district.
A Maharashtra returnee and a contact of an already infected person accounted for the two new cases reported in Dakshina Kannada today.
