Over 95% students appear for II PUC English exam ppr in K’taka

Bengaluru: The II PUC examination for English paper was held in Karnataka today with social distancing and other safety norms amid the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the department of pre-university education, 95.46 per cent of the students appeared for the exams today.

As many as 5,68,975 students gave the English examination paper while around 27,022 students were absent.

The examination, which was postponed on account of COVID-19, was held across 1,016 centres across the state.

The department of pre-university education had issued the standard operating procedure for conducting the examination including sanitizing the exam halls, the length of the benches, the number of students to be present in each room, thermal screening, and usage of sanitizers and masks.
