K’taka reports 322 new Covid-19 cases; 8 new cases in DK

Bengaluru: Karnataka reported 322 new cases of coronavirus, 274 discharges and eight fatalities on Tuesday, June 23.
As on date a cumulative 9721 positive cases have been confirmed in the state of which 6004 persons have recovered. Presently 3563 cases are active in the state and the death toll stands at 150, the health department said.
Among total active cases, 120 patients are admitted to ICU.
Districtwise Bengaluru reported 107 cases followed by Ballari 53 cases; Bidar – 22 cases; Mysuru – 21 cases; Vijaypura -16 cases; Yadagiri -13 cases; Udupi -11 cases; Gadag – 9 cases; Dakshina Kannada & Kolar – 8 cases each; Hassan – 7 cases; Kalaburagi – 6 cases; Chikkaballarpu & Shivamogga – 5 cases each; Dharwad, Tumkur, Koppal & Chamrajnagar -4 cases each; Raichur & Uttar Kannada -3 cases each; Mandya, Belagavu, Davangere & Haveri – 2 cases each and Kodagu one case.
Bengaluru tops the districts in number of positive cases as well as covid-related deaths. So far 1505 cases have been confirmed in the state capital and 74 deaths.
As reported earlier a Covid-19 positive patient died in Dakshina Kannada today. Till date 445 positive cases have been confirmed in the district of which 246 are discharged and 190 are active. nine persons have died so far in the district.
In Udupi, 11 new cases took tally of confirmed cases in the district to 1088. Meanwhile 969 persons have recovered and 117 cases are active. The death toll in Udupi stands at two.
