Former Gujarat Chief Minister Shankersinh Vaghela confirmed COVID-19 positive

Gandhinagar: Former Gujarat Chief Minister Shankersinh Vaghela has tested positive for COVID-19.

Vaghela was admitted to a hospital here a few days ago after suffering from severe fever.

It is being reported that the Prime Minister called Vaghela and inquired about his health.

79-year-old Vaghela started his political career from BJP. Later he joined Rashtriya Janata Paksha and Congress. Presently he is in the Nationalist Congress Party.

He served as Chief Minister of Gujarat from October 1996 to October 1997.
