New Delhi: A 17-year-old youth who discreetly spent Rs 16 lakhs from his father’s account to buy virtual ammunition for the PUBG game is now being made to work a scooter repair shop so that he realises the value of hard-earned money.
The boy, a gaming addict from Punjab used to make in-app purchases for him and his friends from his father’s phone.
His father, who had been saving the money for his health treatment came to know about the money spent from his account only after receiving the bank statements.
“I just can’t let him sit idle at home and cannot give him a mobile phone even for studying. He is working at a scooter repair shop so that he realises how hard it is to earn money,” his father was quoted speaking to The Tribune.
