Karkala: Two arrested for raping minor girl

Karkala: The Karkala rural police have arrested two persons on the charge of raping a minor girl on different occasions.

The accused are Prakash Shetty and Pradeep Achary.

It is gathered that Prakash Shetty raped the girl on April 23, 2019, while Pradeep Achary raped her on three occasions inside a thicket attached to his residence and an auto-rickshaw during November and December 2019. The victim is pregnant now.

A case has been filed against two persons under the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) on the charge of raping a minor girl on different occasions.
