Udayavani says farewell to Manohar Prasad

Mangaluru: Team Udayavani on Wednesday, July 15 evening organized a farewell ceremony to Manohar Prasad who retired after serving the company for 36 years. The program was held at the Mangaluru office.

Managing Director and CEO of Manipal Media Network, Vinod Kumar felicitated Manohar Prasad and presented him a memento on behalf of the company.

Speaking on the occasion Vinod Kumar said, ” Manohar Prasad has worked hard for Udavayani for 36 years and he has a contribution to this company. I hope you have nothing but happiness in your retirement years. ”

Meanwhile, Manohar Prasad said, “I am very thankful to this company and will always be in debt to Udayavani. Everyone in the company and our readers have given me so much love. I’m here today only because of you guys. Udayavani has given me so much in life.”

Manohar joined Udayavani, as a reporter during 1984, and retired as Assistant Editor of Udayavani Daily in Mangaluru.

While working for Udayavani Manohar Prasad bagged many awards including Canara Bank Achiever’s Award, Pals Journalism Award, Karnataka state Jaycees Youth Achiever Award, Sandesha Pratistan Extraordinary Achiever Award, Giants International Achiever Award, etc. He had also bagged Top PRO Award from Indian PRO Society, Mangalore – Manipal unit in 1998.
