Kasargod: Second COVID-19 death in district

Kasargod: A 48-year-old COVID-19 positive woman from Anangoor Pachchekkad, a suburb of the town, died on the morning of Wednesday, July 22 at Kannur Medical College Hospital.

The woman was admitted to a private hospital in Kasaragod a few days ago for fever. A COVID-19 test was conducted of her samples which reported positive. She was then admitted to the Kannur Medical College Hospital on June 20. However, she died without responding to the treatment.

The samples from the woman’s family members have been collected. It is reported that none of the members are showing any symptoms of COVID-19.

40 COVID-19 cases were detected in the district here on Tuesday, July 21. Till date, 972 people have been detected with the virus in the district. Presently, 429 active cases are present in the district.
