Bengaluru: The Karnataka high court gave a green signal to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to go ahead with its investigation into the income tax raid on the Delhi residence of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president, D K Shivakumar.

The Court on Wednesday, July 22 quashed the petition filed by Shashikumar Shivanna, a close associate of Shivakumar.

The single-judge bench presided over by Justice R Nataraj, which had completed hearing into the petition and reserved its orders, pronounced the order. The high court upheld the arguments placed by the state government and the CBI and also ruled that the state government was in order in granting permission for CBI investigation.
