Bengaluru: A three-story building behind an under-construction site collapsed on Tuesday, July 28 in Majestic. The video of the incident has now gone viral.

Incident took place where the Kapali theater once stood. The theater was recently demolished to build a multiplex and construction work was going on to build a parking lot there. No casualties have been reported at the site.

As per sources, the ground had been dug to a depth of over 80 feet and the neighboring building had started to develop cracks on Monday night so the officials evacuated the area. The three-storied building hosted a hotel and a lodge and the building owner had approached the BBMP to demolish it by next month.

Though there was no one inside the building, the police and fire personnel had launched an operation to look for any victims under the debris.

On receiving the news of the incident, Gandhinagar MLA Dinesh Gundu Rao visited the spot.

Addressing presspersons Dinesh said that the owner of the under-construction site should pay for the loss incurred by the neighboring buildings.
