Bengaluru: Construction of shopping complex halted after 2 buildings collapse

Bengaluru: BBMP has halted the construction of a shopping complex at the Kapali Theatre site after two buildings collapsed on Tuesday night.
The wall collapsed as the digging for the foundation was carried out without a retaining wall. BBMP Mayor Goutham Kumar said an FIR was filed against the landowner
Also, he directed the special commissioner, town planning, to submit a report after examining the depth to which the foundation has been dug against the permission given
The Upparpet police said they have registered two complaints against the Mumbai-based manager of the construction company.
