Udupi: District collector Jagadeesh on Tuesday, August 4 ordered imposition of section 144 of the code of criminal procedure in Udupi district from 8 pm today to 6 am on August 6.
The order of imposing section 144 was decided to avoid any violence on the day of Bhumi Pujan at Ayodhya.
He also informed that there will be no sale of alcohol in the district tomorrow.
“No celebrations should be carried out in the public”, warned the DC.
