Bengaluru: The State government on Monday, August 24 announced that it is considering plans to regulate the fast-growing online gambling industry.
The move comes after some online campaigns surfaced on the Internet on the issue about many losing thousands of rupees in them.
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj minister KS Eshwarappa tweeted about it saying the government will take action against the problems caused by online gambling.
Many online gambling websites witnessed massive growth during the almost 3 months-long lockdown period. These websites too used the time to heavily promote themselves.
