Kalaburagi: An incident of police firing occurred at early morning here. A rowdy, Payum Ali Mirza, was shot in the leg.
Mirza had brutally attacked an engineering students a few days ago over bike parking under a railway underpass.
Police had reached Mirza’s home in the morning to arrest him when he fired at the them to escape. A police official fired back in self defense and shot him in the leg.
Mirza is now undergoing treatment at a government hospital here.
