Bengaluru: Former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy on Thursday hit out at the Congress saying that it was unworthy of political alliance.
His remarks come in backdrop of Congress leaders ruling out any alliance with its former coalition partner for the upcoming by-election to two assembly constituencies in the State.
Taking to Twitter, Kumaraswamy said that it was COngress who approached JDS to form a coalition government after 2008 election results.
“Who proposed alliance with JDS? We did not approach Congress, they came to HD Devegowda for alliance following the election results in 2018,” he tweeted.
In yet another tweet he pointed out at the merger of six BSP MLAs with Congress in Rajasthan, the shaky ground on which the Maharashtra Vikas Agadi government stands apart from toppling of his own government in the Karnataka reveals that the national party is not worthy of an alliance.
Congress is not a good ally. There is no need to discuss the alliance issue henceforth. There is no question of any coalition with them, he said.
