Karwar: Indian Navy Captain killed in paragliding accident

Karwar: An Indian Navy officer died on Friday, October 2 after the powerglider plunged into the Arabian Sea in Karwar.

The deceased is Indian Navy Captain Madhusudan Reddy (55) hailing from Andhra Pradesh.

Madhusudan Reddy and his family members had come to Karwar on Friday morning from Bengaluru and the incident happened due to an alleged engine failure. It was the first day of the resumption of parasailing activities at the beach after the lockdown imposed due to check the spread of the novel coronavirus.

However, the instructor managed to escape unhurt in the incident. He was rescued by the lifeguards and the fishermen.
