Republic TV must act responsibly, ensure safety of journos: Editors Guild

The Editors Guild of India on Monday said it was “pained” by the FIRs being filed against Republic TV journalists, adding that the “victimisation of the journalists should immediately stop”.
The Guild also called upon Republic TV to behave “responsibly” and to “not compromise the safety of its journalists (and) hurt the collective credibility of media”.
This comes against the backdrop of Republic TV being investigated for alleged manipulation of Television Rating Points.
