K’taka govt bans firecrackers during Diwali

Bengaluru: Ahead of Diwali, the Karnataka government on Friday banned firecracker citing the impact of pollution on health amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“Following discussions, we have decided to ban fireworks this Diwali,” Yediyurappa told reporters.

An official order will be issued soon, he added.
