Congress is politicising Vinay Kulkarni’s arrest: Jagadish Shettar

Dharwad: Congress has nothing else to do, hence, politicise everything. They politicise every CBI or ED raid, alleged district in-charge minister Jagadish Shettar.

Reacting to CBI getting custody of former minister Vinay Kulkarni, Shettar said: “Siddaramaiah is a former chief minister, he should think and speak responsibly. Exit polls have revealed that the Congress will lose both the assembly seats. This will be the beginning of the end for Congress. Hence, they are politicising the arrest.”

“If they think that there has been injustice, then let them go to the courts. Wasn’t Janardhan Reddy arrested during the tenure of the UPA government? Congress has ruled the country for so many years now they think that everything will go as it is. However, now they have to face scrutiny,” Shettar added.

“There is no need to be afraid if one has done nothing wrong. They have said that Vinay Kulkarni has the blessing of swamiji. Criminal cases should not be for religion or politics. If CBI has made any mistake, then again, they can go to the courts,” Shettar said.
