Boat tragedy: Dead bodies of two fishermen found

Mangaluru: The dead body of two fishermen, who were amongst the six who went missing after their boat overturned at sea were recovered on Tuesday afternoon.

The boat ‘Shree Raksha’ which had set sail with 22 crew members on Monday overturned in the evening hours a few nautical miles off the shore here.

Six fishermen went missing following the mishap, while 16 were rescued with the help of dinghies. Among those missing, the body of two fishermen has been found.

The deceased have been identified as Panduranga Suvarna and Preetham Suvarna, residents of Bokkapatna.

Ziaullah (32), Ansar (31), Hussainar (25), Chinthan (21) are still missing.

A search is on for the remaining fishermen.
