Udupi: 4000-year-old stone monuments found near Kaup

Udupi: Megalithic monuments dating back to the Stone Age were found at Padubelle in Belle village near Kaup in the district here.
Similar stone monuments were found by history and archaeology researchers in the area earlier.
The three stone monuments, ten metres apart from each other, are reported to be built in 2,000 BC.
It is yet to be found out what were the purposes of these monuments.
