Teacher of reputed pvt school in M’luru commits suicide

Mangaluru: A teacher of a reputed private school in the city died by suicide on Wednesday, December 16.

The deceased, Gretta D’Souza (55) ended her life by jumping into a well at her residence in Bikarnakatte.

On Tuesday, Gretta had dinner with her family and retired to bed. However, on Wednesday morning, her family noticed that she was missing and upon searching, they found her dead body in the well.

Though the reason for her extreme step is not yet known, sources said that she was fighting depression.

A case has been registered at Kankanady police station.
