Bengaluru: In an earnest appeal, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Wednesday urged all those people who have returned from the UK in the last two months time to get themselves tested for the new mutated strain of the novel coronavirus.
The transmission ability of the mutated virus, detected mainly in London and the southeast of England in recent weeks is higher. We must observe adequate caution and adhere to the guidelines to prevent its spread, Yediyurappa told reporters here.
Seven people were found to be infected with the mutated strain of the novel coronavirus in Karnataka. Out of 26 people who were subjected to tests, four people of a family from Shivamogga and three others in Bengaluru tested positive for COVID-19
