Mob attacks autorickshaw driver during victory procession, case filed

Vitla: A case has been filed against a group of people for assaulting an autorickshaw driver on Saturday, January 2 in Vitla.
The injured has been identified as Kareem, a resident of Kanyana and the accused are Umar, Bashit, Asis Kukkaje, Majeed, KP Abdul Raheem, Sabit, Ismail Kukkaje, and Nazeer.
The incident took place during the victory procession of Congress candidates who won the Gram Panchayat polls.
The mob attacked Kareem stating that he was driving the rickshaw recklessly during the victory procession.
A case in this regard has been registered with the Vitla police
