Rescue operation leads to discovery of 200m-long India-Bangladesh tunnel in Assam

Guwahati: Assam Police have found a 200-metre-long tunnel connecting India and Bangladesh in Karimganj during a rescue operation.
The police unearthed the tunnel while rescuing a man named Dilwar Hossain, who was abducted on December 28. It is suspected that the tunnel is being used by international gangs involved in kidnapping and smuggling
The tunnel is hidden deep inside a forest with a barbed fence over it.BSF has already been asked to close the Indian side of the tunnel
