M’luru: Gang attempts to abduct child at Yeyyadi; anxiety among locals

Mangaluru: A gang reportedly attempted to abduct a child near Yeyyadi-Konchadi here on Wednesday, January 13 evening thus creating a sense of fear among the locals here.
As per reports, a gang of three persons allegedly tried to kidnap a child here by stuffing him in a sack. However, the children near shouted and created an alarm causing people nearby to rush to the spot and the culprits to flee.
Kankanady police officials are investigating the incident based on the statements given by the people.
CCTV footage from nearby buildings is being inspected for securing leads into the case
