Bengaluru: Paying tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary, former Chief Minister and leader of opposition Sidddaramiah on Saturday, January 30 said that everyone needs to follow Gandhi’s path to have a better tomorrow.
Gandhi was shot dead on this day in 1948 by Nathuram Godse. His death anniversary is observed as Martyrs’ Day.
“Mahatma Gandhiji is a symbol of non-violence and the strongest proponent of harmony and universal brotherhood,” Siddramaiah said.
He further added, “In this hour of crisis, it is necessary for us to walk in the path he walked to have a better tomorrow. Tributes to the great soul on his death anniversary.”
