Bengaluru: Hasiru Sene and Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha president Badagalpura Nagendra informed that Bharatiya Kisan Union’s National Spokesperson Rakesh Tikait will be holding a mahapanchayat in the State against the farm laws sometime in February.
He further said that the State’s farmers will picket the Vidhan Soudha during the Budget session to pressurise the government in repealing the State-specific farm laws and also the anti-cow slaughter law.
“More than 50,000 farmers from across the State will participate in the protest event. We want MSP for silk, coffee and other crops as these will help the farmers as well as the government. A conference of all the farmers later will also be planned at Bengaluru,” Nagendra said.
