Collision between cars leaves 4 dead, 13 injured

Hassan: Four persons were killed on the spot and nearly 13 sustained serious injuries following a collision between a Qualis vehicle and a TataSumo here on National Highway 75 near Hassan in the wee hours of Sunday, February 21 morning.
The deceased are identified as Pradeep Kumar, Chandrasekhar, Naveen Kumar and Sunil Kumar. Meanwhile, the condition of another person is said to be serious. The injured includes three children.
As per reports, the Qualis vehicle with eight occupants was headed towards Udupi while the TataSumo vehicle with 10 passengers was on its way to Dharmasthala. The accident took place when the TataSumo vehicle slowed down suddenly because of the speed humps on the road. The Qualis vehicle that was behind it reportedly collided into the car killing four on the spot.
District Superintendent of Police R. Srinivas Gowda has visited the site of the incident and the hospital.
