Koppal: A 105-year-old woman, Kamalamma Lingana Gowda Hiregowdar, of the district who was undergoing treatment at her house for COVID-19 has been cured of the infection, thus setting an example for the younger generation.

Kamalamma was tested positive for the virus last week and was place under home-isolation at her son Shankar Gowda’s residence. After undergoing a week’s treatment at home, she has been completely cured of the infection.

Kamalamma had followed all the directives given to her and within one week she tested negative.

“It was a challenge for us to treat her. As Kamalamma was suffering from any other illness she was placed under home-isolation, she set an example to everyone,” said Dr. Srinivas Hyati who treated Kamalamma.
