Bengaluru: A farm owner in Anekal here said he is baffled after thieves broke in and managed to smuggle out 35 piglets without leaving a trace.
The Piggery owner Ravi Subbanna had reared 85 pigs in his farm, he had been to the farm on Sunday to feed the animal. After feeding the pigs he had locked the farm and returned home. On Monday morning when he went to the farm, as usual, he found 35 pigs missing. The thieves had broken the lock to gain entry, informed sources.
Following the incident, Ravi Subbanna has filed a complaint with the Anekal police. In the complaint, Ravi stated that that 35 pigs, each weighing 60 kg, were stolen from his farm in Adur village near Anekal town.
The police have registered a case and suspect the thief knew the farm well – as they managed to get in and out with the squealing animals.
