59 persons booked for violating quarantine norms

Mangaluru/Udupi: The police booked 51 persons in Dakshina Kannada and 8 people in Udupi for violating quarantine norms.
Despite the government’s order that stringent action will be taken against those violating quarantine norms, many people with the home quarantine stamp were seen roaming in the city.
The police booked the case against the violators under section 269, 270, 271, and the Karnataka Epidemic Act based on satellite information.
