A 60-year-old wheelchair-bound man is on a mission – reach Ayodhya, hopefully to witness the inauguration of Ram Temple.
Savadatti Manjunath began a unique journey from Uttarakhand in 2021 for “global peace and personal enlightenment”. Despite facing challenges from a previous biking accident, he now travels in his wheelchair toward Ayodhya.
He has already travelled to various Hindu sacred places like Tirupati, Rameswaram, and Kanyakumari, with a stop at Udupi’s Sri Krishna Matha.
When asked about his routine, Manjunath says he starts his daily journey at 6 AM, covering significant distances and resting at temples or other places at night.
Even though he lost strength in one leg due to a past accident, his determination remains unbroken. While unsure about reaching Ayodhya for its inauguration, he holds onto the belief that he will get there someday.
