7th edition of Manipal Kite Festival on February 3

Manipal: Volunteer Services Organization (VSO), the social unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education with support from Kasturba Hospital, Manipal will organize the 7th Edition of Tarang, the annual kite flying festival at End Point, Manipal on February 3, 2019 from 4 pm onwards.

Each year the event has a theme and an aim. This year it will be held to create awareness on early detection of cancer. The funds collected during the event will be utilized to support awareness on prevention of cancer. The theme, therefore is “I am and I will”. Same as the theme for World Cancer Day on February 4.

Tarang is also an opportunity for young and old to fly kites and have fun. It is more than just a kite festival, it is a carnival. There will be food stalls, games, street plays, music, dance and much more. Entry to the festival is free. A kite and a roll of a thread will cost Rs.50.
