Bengaluru: Nearly two-months after the Covid-19 induced lockdown a nine-year-old was reunited with his parents in Bengaluru following the resumption of domestic air travel.
This came just a day after a 5-year-old boy travelled solo, as a special category passenger on a New Delhi-Bengaluru flight to be reunited with his parents here.
The boy, Shiven Desai had left for Mumbai on March 15 with his grandmother before announcement of the lockdown.
With government allowing resumption of flight services, Shiven’s mother booked a ticket for him in a Spice Jet flight for Tuesday morning.
While his parents were worried about his solo journey, the boy was excited to narrate his story upon arrival at the airport. Speaking to reporters he said that the airport staff attended to him well.
Meanwhile the boy has been asked to stay at home in self-quarantine for the next 14 days.
