Accused arrested in Kaup bag snatching case

Kaup: Police arrested a 28-year-old man involved in the bag-snatching incident that occurred at the Kaup underpass on National Highway 66.
The accused has been identified as Santhosh Kumar (28), a resident of Kaup Polipu.
A team led by Kapu Police Circle Inspector seized Rs 1,00,200, a mobile phone, and a two-wheeler used in the crime from the accused, police said.
Case details
Umesha Prabhu, a resident of Santhekatte, Udupi, was walking near the Kapu underpass with the money collected from the line sale on March 2, when a biker snatched the bag containing the cash worth Rs 1.25 lakh from him on the service road opposite Marigudi.
