Advocates donate over Rs.14 lakh towards flood relief

Bengaluru: Some of the High Court former judges, senior counsels, and advocates have come forward to help the flood hit regions in Kodagu and Kerala. 

The association collected over Rs.14 lakh towards the flood relief fund which will be sent to Kerala and Kodagu.

Among the donors are some prominent personalities, Advocate General Udaya Holla and former Justice Nagamohan Das, Ashok Haranahalli and Shashi Kiran Shetty.

The contribution has been collected by The Advocates’ Association, Bengaluru, and will be donated to the Flood Relief Fund. A sum of Rs 5 lakh was donated by the Advocate General. 

President of the Association, A P Ranganatha said, “Ee are coordinating with the District Judiciary of Kodagu and Advocates’ Association of Kodagu for coordinating the relief efforts there. We will also be donating to the flood relief in Kerala by coordinating with the Kerala High Court Advocates’ Association.
